This position will be part of the HR US Payroll team and responsible to maintain and develop new features the HR US Payroll application, its sub modules, integration to other systems and compliance to Regulatory requirements.

An engineer that fixes application bugs, does new enhancements, conducts unit testing through manual execution or automation to maintain the HR Payroll module and address customer reported issues within the Service Level Objective.


A Day in the Life Typically Includes

• Fixes any reported bugs while complying with the SDLC processes and coding standards.
• Creates/codes enhancements based on requirements/design specified by Product Management and Business Analysts.
• Conducts unit testing, peer review, impact analysis of code changes, root cause analysis and other standard processes in the SDLC.
• Automate unit testing as applicable
• Handles US and CA regulatory compliance maintenance and enhancements


Basic Qualifications

• More than one year of programming experience (Java or any OOP languages)
• Experience includes development of new programs or challenging feature enhancements, maintenance, and involvement on database design/structure changes
• Problem solving skills
• Taken trainings or courses on any Object-Oriented Programming Language
• Ability to develop and interpret technical plans/designs
• Willing to learn and work on Proprietary Language
• Basic knowledge of any Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
• Good written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

• Team player and can collaborate effectively with the team
• Can cope with self-phased trainings and requires minimal supervision
• Has the eagerness to push through challenges and has the ‘never-back-down’ attitude
• Ability to communicate and participate during meetings and reviews with US counterparts and willingness to attend the meetings/reviews which might be scheduled early in the morning or late night
