A Day In The Life Typically Includes
Testing & Validation:
o Develop and execute test cases for assigned modules, mainly on Supply Chain side of an ERP system, ensuring that the system meets business requirements.
o Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for ERP solutions, identifying and documenting defects.
o Coordinate with business analyst, developers and product owners to ensure the ERP system meets requirements.
Automation Testing:
o Execute automated test scripts for ERP applications using automation tools such as Selenium and in-house automation tools.
o Create, maintain and update scripts to ensure they remain robust, efficient, and scalable
Defect Management:
o Log, track, and verify defects through the defect management lifecycle, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Documentation & Reporting:
o Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the assigned module/s.
o Provide regular reports and metrics on test progress, and defect resolution to stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication:
o Work closely with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into testable scenarios.
o Participate in Agile or Scrum meetings, providing insights on testing progress and potential risks.
Continuous Improvement:
o Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in ERP testing and automation tools, recommending improvements to existing testing processes and methodologies.
o Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices for QA within the organization.
