Description & Requirements

Quality Assurance Analyst
Experience: 2 yrs - 4 yrs
Hyderabad

Essential Duties:

  • Analyze and review new functional requirements to create test cases.
  • Interact with Business Analysts and Developers to ensure that product functionality and quality meets quality standards.
  • Prepare test cases that appropriately cover new functionality while ensuring stability of the system’s existing functionality, and provide effort estimates for project planning.
  • Execute test cases manually.
  • Report on test results using the adopted tracking system.
  • Reconcile product features from original requirements to delivered product.
  • Participate in design and documentation reviews.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a technical related field
  • Exposure to Automation(selenium) and API testing(needed)
  • 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • 3 years of experience with SQL and database fundamentals, including ability to write/execute queries.
  • Strong understanding of the different levels of testing throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under set deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written skills, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Familiar with JIRA or another bug tracking system.
  • Experience with test management software.
  • Wiki sites.
  • Knowledge of software architecture techniques such as User Case Diagrams, UML modeling, etc…

Position Summary

Performs and/or supports testing tasks to ensure that developed products meet design specifications. Communicates with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues.
