Opis i wymagania

We are seeking an exceptional database developer to join our team at Birst, an Infor Company’s Hyderbad office,
to enhance and sustain our Java-based platform for Business Intelligence and Analytics system. The ideal
candidate will have proven experience building and sustaining compelling, interactive web applications with
significant exposure to relational databases, the performance aspects of it, and working knowledge of backend
design, coding.

Key Responsibilities
? Work closely with management, product owners, developers and quality engineers to understand
product requirements, business use cases and to design appropriate performance/scalability simulations
to measure and analyze performance and obtain insights into scalability and solve potential bottlenecks.
? Participate in discussions and planning with other members of the engineering and product teams.
? Influence architecture by offering solutions for performance and scale challenges.
? Design, build, deploy and maintain scalable cloud-based distributed, multi-tiered, concurrent, cross
platforms web applications core infrastructure systems that perform and scale in a multi-tenant cloud
environment
? Adding innovative new features in our enterprise class, cloud-scale business intelligence and data
analytics products
? Employ solid software engineering practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable/extensible code and
predictable schedules working in agile environment
? Tracing performance and infrastructure bottlenecks and implementing innovative solutions to resolve
them
? Willingness to work across time zones to interact with different stakeholders located across US west
coast, Europe and India

Key Requirements/Experience

? 3 to 5 years of core software development experience with solid foundation in database fundamentals
and software design.
? Strong skills of database performance, such as SQL tuning and optimization in MS SQL Server
? Extensive knowledge of database internals – read and troubleshoot execution plans, analyze query
operators, debug object locking and design efficient indexes.
? Analyze and fix deadlocking and blocking issues.
? Handle large volumes of data by implementing database features like table partitioning, memory
optimized tables, columnstore indexes etc.
? Working knowledge of Java or other programming languages.
? Ability to dig deep into complex pieces of code to understand system design with an eye for
performance and scalability bottlenecks with an aim to optimize code.
? Experience in collaborating with cross functional global and remote teams with diverse background
? Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
? Ability to work collaboratively on a cross-functional team with a wide range of experience levels
? Finds creative way to execute even when there is no historical context or known path forward
? Demonstrated expertise in software engineering practices (e.g., reading/generating software specs,
design patterns, continuous integration)
? Hands on experience with test-driven, agile development practices
? Excellent communication and teamwork skills
? A high degree of self-motivation and flexibility with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
? Nice to have :
o Exposure to Amazon Redshift.
o Exposure to NoSQL databases’ like MongoDB, etc.
