The Consultant plays a key role in assisting our customers with the implementation of the Infor SunSystems Financial and Order Fulfilment modules. This includes General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Assets, Intercompany, Corporate Allocations, Purchasing, Sales, and Inventory. This billable role is crucial to the success of our projects and delivering best-in-class services and solutions to our customers. The Consultant leads all phases of the project execution including requirements gathering, solution design, application configuration, system testing, education, and adoption, and works closely with other members of Infor Services as well as Sales and Support on services delivery and project execution. The Consultant is also responsible for developing ongoing, successful business relationships with clients and for providing clients with "industry best practice" recommendations.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
Essential Duties:
- Provide implementation consultancy as well as application and industry best practice advice to Infor customers.
- Participate in full life cycle client facing implementation projects relating to Infor applications.
- Work as part of an Infor Project team and/or independently lead smaller projects; providing governance, guidance, and consulting services needed for successful project delivery.
- Lead the information gathering and design process for a client implementation, including the development of functional business requirements and solution scope documents.
- Work closely with project managers and consultants on scope review, implementation planning, and project plans.
- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Collaborate closely with Services, Support, Development, other Infor communities, and practice leaders to quickly resolve customer application issues and/or escalations.
- Participate in customer calls and assist Infor Sales and Pre-sales during the sales cycle as required by practice leadership.
- Develop professional, functional, and technical skills that aid in the delivery of successful services projects and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years' application consulting experience implementing Financial ERP solutions.
- 2+ years' industry experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Energy, Hospitality, or Not-For-Profit.
- Full project lifecycle ERP implementation experience with a Finance focus.
- Formal customer facing consulting experience.
- In-depth understanding of finance business processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed assets, Corporate Allocations, Intercompany, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
- Fluent written and spoken Japanese and English.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, Cloud ERP solutions, and Cloud implementations.
- Experience leading large and complex ERP implementations.
- Infor SunSystems experience, including Finance, Purchasing, Inventory, and Sales.
- Experience with interrogating SQL databases and writing basic SQL scripts.
- Experience with ERP reporting solutions, design, and development.
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
