Job Purpose:
The Implementation Consultant works within the Professional Services organization at Infor Nexus. This position will serve in a business/functional and technical consulting capacity to understand customer business requirements and apply them to the Infor Nexus application to ensure clients’ success. The software is delivered in a cloud-based, on-demand environment and the candidate will work directly with global customers to deliver complex, global supply chain solutions. Qualified candidates should have 5+ years of either industry experience or professional services software implementation work, with the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. The Implementation Consultant works under the guidance of and in collaboration with the Infor Nexus Project Managers and Solution Architects, executing implementation activities during specific phases of the project.
Job Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates expertise in software implementations or supply chain and applies industry knowledge to decipher client’s needs
- Utilizes consultative approach in gathering client functional requirements in a clear and accurate manner, understands the overall vision of the project, and collaborates closely with the Solution Architect in building solution designs
- Configures Infor Nexus application and collaborates with technical team for implementation of integrations and customizations to meet client’s needs
- Leverages Infor Nexus product expertise to guide clients on the solutions and configurations that will best meet their needs
- Works directly with customer’s stakeholders to ensure that rationale / value for the project is clearly documented and agreement is reached on how value-based use cases will be implemented
- Develops functional design specifications and technical design. Writes Process Flows and Business Blueprint documents
- Is resourceful when trying to understand and resolve an issue
- Works closely with and builds positive relationships with clients’ project team
- Switches seamlessly between routine work and time-sensitive or critical tasks/ project deadlines
- Organizes and conducts customer training to drive adoption
- Provides input to build the deployment plan and support solution rollout
- Monitors solution stability post-implementation and provides support to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology or business-related field; Master’s degree a plus
- 5 or more years of qualified experience in software implementations, preferably in Cloud applications. Proficiency in project implementation methodology required
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot technical issues, analyze complex problems, and formulate alternative approaches
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare and deliver oral presentations
- Ability to present business process flows and technical applications
- Comfortable working on multiple projects and task simultaneously, excellent attention to detail
- Experience with EDI/EFT messages and understanding of XML messages/ files a plus
- Familiarity with internet communication protocols (AS2, FTP) a plus
- Experience implementing ERP solutions (e.g. SAP) a plus
- Experience in the international transportation or corporate/international procurement industry a plus
- Supply chain certification a plus
