We are actively looking for a Development Integration Business Analyst to strengthen our SCP Integration Team. This role focuses on the integration related components of Infor Supply Chain Planning (Infor SCP). With our new colleague, we are aiming to expedite the process of moving to our new continuous integration platform. The Business Analyst in this position would be familiar with the overall supply chain planning business processes in an enterprise and would translate these into information flows between the integrated products.
Infor SCP is a mature and functionally rich application. The candidate is therefore expected to dive into the solution, learn its functionality in order to resolve issues, add new functionality to the solution and evolve the software.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
· Identify integration requirements. Liaise with functional BAs to understand business requirements; identify data requirements for the business requirements; understand the data model of the source system.
· Convert integration requirements to integration designs. Model required data entities; map data entities to source data entities; build transformation logic; design the inbound and outbound data flows.
· Document integration designs. Write simple, clean, understandable use cases with enough details to explain the expected behavior.
· Follow SCP processes.
· Be proficient at SCP Integrations. Understand the general structure of existing software and of each SCP integration: SQL based batch integrations vs streaming based continuous integrations; query based incremental imports vs ingestion based live updates; program logic, parameter, error and log handling.
· Review use cases from fellow Business Analysts. Verify use cases against requirements.
· Act as a contact person for functional Business Analysts, Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Analysts.
· Be proactive. Recommend improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum of a BSc in Computer Science or in a Science/Mathematics based field
· 2+ years demonstrated experience as a business analyst for software applications
· Knowledge of design techniques such as Use Cases, User Stories, and basic User Interface design
· Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
· Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
· Proficient English speaker and writer
· Proactive, self-motivated, driven – a “go-getter”
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Supply Chain Planning concepts such as Manufacturing, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Advanced Planning & Scheduling
• Bonus points for project management skills
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Familiarity with streaming technologies
• Familiarity with messaging formats and structures for information exchange such as JSON, XML, etc.
