Senior Software Engineer

Location: Remote- US

The position will be part of the Infor Hospitality product development team with a focus on developing solutions for complex financial function related business problems.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Work with application business analysts, subject matter experts, fellow software engineers, QA and engineers at partner organizations to perform analysis, design and construction for software components that deliver the business functionality in financial, taxation and other complex business data processing.
  • Develop solution components that are of high quality, accuracy, efficiency, scalability and security, using modern best programming practices and advanced techniques.
  • Troubleshoot problems discovered before and after the deployment of the solutions in a timely manner under pressure, with the sharply customer focused mentality.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • In-depth experience and strong skills in basic and advanced enterprise Java programming, including latest Java features, designing and programming best practices for an enterprise software system, and OWASP secure coding practices
  • Extensive experience in developing software solutions for financial and taxation functions, preferably in the hospitality related industries
  • Detail-oriented ability for business problem analysis, algorithm design and refinement
  • Proficiency in using SQL for data query and processing involving complex data structure and high data volume, with the skills for fine-turning of SQL queries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile software development practice as an avid team player
  • Experience in GitLab, Nexus, Maven and software CI/CD process
  • Background involving developing software applications operating in the AWS environment as “cloud native” multi-tenant large scale software systems
  • Knowledge or practice in event-driven software architecture
