We are looking for MES Solution Architects to join us across EMEA!! Learning and development is available as you start and continue on your career path. You will be part of a Project Services Group that specialises in delivering MES solutions to multi-national manufacturing companies. The Project Services Group is split into small teams that manage concurrent projects of differing sizes. You will join a team, led by an experienced Solution Architects and Project Managers.
The Project Group delivers solutions to customers across Europe. A typical project involves understanding customer requirements; building a fully integrated solution based on our world class MES product; delivering it to a pilot site and then rolling it out across the various customer locations.
You may have heard of Industry 4.0, IoT, data analytics? There are huge investments in the manufacturing sector, as it undergoes a process of dramatic digital transformation. MES is at the very heart of that! Forming the foundation layer between production equipment and operational management.

You will be working with exciting technology; our product is state of the art web technology; and internationally recognised as one of the leading products in the market. The projects are varied due to a wide range of potential scope across Production, Quality, Inventory and Maintenance. We work across a range of industries from Automotive, Aerospace, Packaging, Life Science, Machinery & Equipment, Building & Construction, and Energy. Our MES solutions have been deployed in 50 countries, in 15 different languages and we work with some of the biggest names in industry. We deliver solutions that work for customers and solutions we can be proud of, we solve problems and overcome challenges.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Working with customers to understand requirements - through site visits, workshops, process mapping
- Designing the solution
§ Deciding on best configuration models
§ Usability and adoption considerations
§ Best practice
§ Designing dashboards, reports
§ Designing interfaces
§ Writing specifications
- Configuring the application to meet the design
- Training the customer how to use and manage the application
- Testing the configuration and integration
- Helping the customer to test and evaluate
- Configuring Shopfloor-Online master data
- Configuring and testing OPC links to production equipment
- Installation of our MES software and applying any updates
- Deploying customer packages
- Testing of solutions, evaluation and sign off
- Supporting customers, troubleshooting
Knowledge and Skills, You Bring to the Organization
- Subject matter expert for MES
- Working with customers through a consultative approach, to extract and confirm requirements across a range of industries and scenarios
- Sound understanding of MES functions and use cases
- Experience of designing MES solutions to meet customer requirements
- Experience of building interfaces between MES and ERP
- Experience of integration with factory equipment and metrology
- Delivery of MES projects
- MES experience
- Consulting experience
- Working with senior and exec level stakeholders to consult on MES related requirements
- There will be some travel to customer sites all over Europe
- You will be a part of a team from between 2 to 6 people, which is close knit, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- You will also work closely with customers, building our team with theirs
- Projects are challenging, with many problems to solve
- Working from or near one of our offices in the UK or Europe. Home working is an option, but you will be required to attend the office during training and development periods
Training
- We will provide extensive training to support you in understanding the customer environment; our MES product; how to work in projects and to build your technical skills
- Some training will be formal classroom style; some on-the-job
