Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: INDIA

Position Type: Full-time

Introduction: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior DevOps to join our DevOps team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the technical operations, ensuring security, and supporting our development, security and QA teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, VPC, strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and proficiency in managing containerized environments. Responsibilities:

· AWS Infrastructure Management:

o Manage and optimize AWS services, including EKS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, FSx.

o Implement best practices for security and scalability in AWS environments.

· Collaboration & Support:

o Provide technical support to development and QA teams.

o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

o Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams.

o Ensure smooth coordination and alignment across departments.

o Support the environment while on call in shifts.

· Dev Environment Support:

o Maintain and optimize development environments.

o Ensure environments are stable and scalable.

o Support Java based application running on tomcat.

· Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

o Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.

o Implement version control and automation for cloud infrastructure changes.

o Create and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform.

· CI/CD Support:

o Manage and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

o Automate testing and deployment processes.

· EKS and Container Management:

o Manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS.

o Develop and optimize container-based deployments.

· Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

o Set up and manage monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

o Proactively monitor system health and performance metrics.

o Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and performance issues.

o Implement alerting mechanisms to notify the team about critical issues in real-time.

· Security & Vulnerability Management:

o Implement vulnerability scanning and security best practices across DevOps environments.

o Ensure compliance with security standards and practices.

o Monitor and manage security risks and vulnerabilities across the cloud infrastructure.

· Required Skills & Experience:

o Strong expertise in AWS services: EKS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and related services.

o Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.

o Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

o Proficiency in GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.

o Experience in supporting tomcat-based Java based applications.

o Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems for troubleshooting

o Experience with MSSQL and no-SQL DB like Mongo, Elastic, Redis

o Strong understanding of vulnerability management and security best practices.

o Proficiency in Python (or Java) for automation and scripting.

o Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

o Strong collaboration and communication skills.

· Additional Requirements:

o 5 days working from the office.

o Willingness to join calls during late office hours to overlap with the US team

o Be prepared to work in shifts to support a global infrastructure and ensure 24/7 availability.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Proven experience in senior DevOps role.

· Minimum 7+ year experience in DevOps

· Certification in AWS is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

· Self-motivated and team motivator.
