Position Summary: The PMO Portfolio Director drives results of the full life cycle of project, program and portfolio improvement for the consulting services area serving large projects for Koch Industries. The Director works directly with the project/program managers and practice directors/managers to coach, advise and drive the adoption of project tools, processes, and methodologies to assure that projects are managed and sponsored to achieve a successful outcome. 


A Day in The Life Typically Includes: 

  • Provide oversight or project management for large, complex projects similar to the projects stated in the program director block in the project management job family 
  • Communicate and establish relationships with C-level executives. 
  • Project sponsor for large, complex, programs/projects. 
  • May be assigned practices to provide the following: PM mentoring, project quality reviews, participation in customer projects, selling the value of project management, portfolio analysis of trends with action item recommendation and follow up. 
  • Provide measurements directly tied to improvement in customer service and margin
  • Manage and remediate large, complex, difficult projects and programs 


What You Will Need: 

  • 10+ years project management experience
  • 5+ years of interacting with senior level client and internal management 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or other qualifying certifications 

What Will Put You Ahead? Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience managing large, complex global project implementations
  • Development and implementation of project management and bid processes, methodology and tools 
  • Management of multiple projects in a portfolio
  • Systems Integrator / Partner project management experience
