This is an exciting opportunity for someone who perhaps doesn’t have any/many technical skills but would like to start a career in software. A degree isn't required but is a bonus.

 
  • You are looking to start out a career in software testing.
  • You don't need programming or testing experience, but you must have an interest in technology, and some knowledge is a bonus.
  • You are comfortable using technology such as mobile, websites, and basic applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication.
  • You are enthusiastic, organised, approach work in a methodical way, and have an eye for detail.
  • You are a proactive problem solver who can consume new information and concepts quickly.
  • You are willing to learn and take on responsibility, with opportunities to learn more technical skills on the job in future.
  • You are a strong team player who is capable of taking ownership and delivering results.
 

About Your Team

The product quality team work closely with product management and product development to ensure the product is released to a high standard. This involves:

  • Writing and performing regression testing to identify issues introduced before product release.
  • Reviewing and testing bug fixes and functional changes against the acceptance criteria.
  • Identifying, logging, and progressing bugs.
  • Reviewing the product for user experience and style, as well as quality of life improvements.
  • Confirming the upgrade and installation processes are working correctly.
  • Ensuring product documentation is up to date for release.
  • Approving the product is ready for release.
  • Defining and improving the processes around product quality and release.
 

The product quality team also have involvement in other areas of the business including:

  • Delivering internal training to the business.
  • Testing and contributing to internal/external training materials.
  • Contributing to product demos.
  • Involvement in specifying changes to the product.
 

You will be working directly with several teams across the business in a collaborative and supportive environment. Your Daily Role

On a day-to-day basis you will be contributing to the product quality team workload as defined above. This involves testing across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and other devices such as handheld rugged scanners.

 

We have daily team meetings to manage team goals and workloads.

 

On day one, you will be enrolled into our product training program, we take training you seriously. This is a six-week course where you will learn about our product, our customers, and their processes.

 

After training you will continue to grow, and develop as part of the product quality team, with a focus on our MES product. Overtime you will become a subject matter expert as you learn how to configure the product to meet customer requirements.

 

If you have an interest in obtaining technical skills, there is potential to offer optional additional training in future.
