Description & Requirements

Seeking a consultant for Infor Public Sector Projects, with primary focus on technical knowledge and emphasis on front-end development and Integration Design. The Consultant plays a key role in assisting our customers with the implementation of Infor public sector solutions software. Infor Public Sector Suite is tailored to meet the complex industry demands of government and utilities—all with the benefit of cloud deployment. This includes community development and regulation and public safety, customer service, asset and work management and utility billing. Ability to travel within North America is required.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

• Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

• Use data analytics and user personas to assess current processes and guide customer stakeholders to the recommended processes

• Determine and recommend a solution(s) that matches attainment of the customers’ objectives.

• Provide knowledge of the customers’ industry and business during the project implementation

• Design solution to align client business needs with standard application capabilities and best approach for gaps

• Guide the solution configuration with US and Offshore resources based on design, using iterations of prototypes and testing to validate

• Participate in planning and execution of data conversions integrations to other systems

• Work with agreed quality processes including quality control though system testing

• Consult on conversion and interface design and implementation

• Review and provide input to effort estimates as requested

• Provide training to users on the applications

• Potential travel of 50%, post COVID

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

• 1 – 3 years of experience implementing technology solutions with COTS products

• Has programming expertise and can make high-level design choices and technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.

• Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies, implementation, and quality control

• With 3-5 years hands-on experience in using Web platform technologies such as:


• JavaScript

• Jquery

• JavaScript frameworks preferred (Angular, AngularJS, Marionette, Handlebars, Backbone, Node.js)

• Experience in Backend: IIS, MS SQL/Oracle, REST API creation & consumption a must

• Experience with Data analysis and data quality

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working understanding of asset management within the public sector

• Implementing technical solutions to public sector customers

• Experience in Object-Oriented Programming a plus

• Liferay or other content management solutions

• Quality/Testing: Unit Testing experience, Test Driven Development (TDD) a plus, Design Patterns (ex. Facade, Factory, Decorator, etc.) preferred, S.O.L.I.D. Principles

• Version control including SVN, GIT / Github, Dev tools including Dev Ops

• Experience in working in an Agile method with Scrum process
