The Infor Nexus Design team is comprised of a motivated collection of product managers, designers, and engineers. Our global team believes that enterprise software should be just as easy to use as consumer applications. We are passionate, collaborative, and unwilling to settle as we guide users to success in our products and drive change at scale throughout the enterprise.
As a product designer, you'll join a dedicated design team responsible for overseeing the visual identity of Infor Nexus. You will be equally invested in crafting high-fidelity visual design and user experience design. You must have exceptional command of visual composition, typographic hierarchy, and creating scalable product experiences.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills to advocate for and promote the use of common design standards by other Nexus development teams as well as have the ability to deliver rapidly within a lean process and alongside multiple stakeholders. You will focus on the user, crafting and executing feasible experiences in collaboration with your engineering partners. The experiences you craft will solve for utility and usability of Infor Nexus applications powered by the Infor Nexus platform.

Responsibilities:
· Define design strategy in collaboration with key members of product teams, including product managers, engineering, and other designers
· Lead all phases of product design: discovery research, strategy workshops, asset-production, and measuring the success of released products and features
· Articulate design best practices in non-technical terms to a variety of internal stakeholders
· Conceptualize original, simple, user-friendly ideas to solve complex design problems
· Implement information architecture by preparing sitemaps and interactive prototypes that illustrate navigational flows and elements
· Articulate design guidelines, including informational and visual hierarchy, flow, layout, typography, and iconography
· Obtain feedback on your product in order to iterate and drive improvements in future releases
· Update stakeholders and report on customer success through internal and external product communications
· Design and deliver wireframes and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
· Advocate for Infor's design principles, best practices, and guidelines to a variety of internal teams and partners
· Demonstrate an understanding of design guidelines, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
· Innovate and offer new ideas while solving practical problems
· Strong presentation skills
· Collaborate with other designers on ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design problems
· Collaborate with team members across disciplines--as well as with subject matter experts and client partners--to ensure that all work satisfies the project goals
· Participate in design reviews, respond well to direction, and provide constructive feedback to peers
· Embody high standards and best practices; be an example to team members
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
Educational/Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in communication design or equivalent
· 2-5 years of experience in product designer, or a similar role
· A passion for complex problem solving
Minimum Qualifications:
· Demonstrated focus on end user needs via usability test plans, evaluation of patterns, and analysis of user feedback
· Human-centered design approach to rapidly test and iterate
· Proficiency in information architecture and multi-step and cross-platform flows; consideration of data obiects and content strategy when architecting systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
- Curiosity to know how things work and the ability to use that knowledge to make connections and find opportunities
- Understanding of tech and product development processes
- Organizational skills, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results
- Outstanding skills in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Jira
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Experience working with enterprise design systems
- Experience working in an agile development process
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Knowledge or experience with Principle or any prototyping tools is a plus iOS and Android mobile design experience
