The Infor Warehouse Management System comprises best in class solution components for distribution companies including high volume retail, defense, 3rd party distribution services, and covering most industry verticals.
The central focus of the role will be to perform the implementation consulting services for our clients in adopting Infor’s solutions primarily the Infor WMS and be a trustable technical advisor to our clients.
It is envisaged that the ideal candidate will be flexible to travel and adaptable to consulting work in the EMEA region as required and occasionally international travel may be required. The candidate must be willing to working with people from different ethnicity, cultural background and positions in the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as part of a team, consisting of Technical and Functional consultants and Project Manager in an implementation.
- Able to work well with onshore and offshore consultants.
- Perform architecture planning, delivering technical training courses, propose technical solutions, configure applications, conduct workshops, support unit testing, deployment, go-live support, issue resolution and technical documentation.
- Responsible for overall integration design, agree handshakes protocol and define application and fields mapping.
- Advising customers on industry best practice supported by the Infor products.
- Provide technical advice to customers during the implementation.
- Issue management and resolution working hands in hands with on/offshore support personnel, international R&D team or local resource.
- Perform project implementation tasks using Infor project methodologies in accordance with the project goals and business objectives.
- Willing to continuously develop knowledge on new technology and method, and also keen to develop others in the pursuit of knowledge.
- Participate in pre-sales activities in providing estimates, proposing technical solutions and present technical pitch.
required skills & experience
- Good written and spoken English and German language
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related area or a master’s degree.
- Experienced in working with WMS and Automation systems in a Warehousing environment (i.e. conveyor systems/ ASRS/ AGV/ WCS/ MHE systems)
- Strong understanding of RDBMS and SQL knowledge is essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java or Python.
- Ability to communicate at all levels from project team to senior management from the customer
- Knowledge in XML, HTML, REST APIs, XSLT and Web Services.
- Experienced in software implementation life cycle
- Added advantage:
- Experience of warehouse operations using a WMS system
- Experience of WMS systems implementation
- Experience with Dallas Systems WMS /WM2000/ Exceed / SCE / Infor WMS
- Experience with Infor OS and ION.
- Experience with other major ERP systems.
- Previous experience in a consultancy environment would be an advantage
