What you’ll be doing
● Partner with development, business analysts, and product teams to create world-class HR, Finance, and Supply Chain software
● Digging deep into complex user problems and interfaces to create effective, meaningful, and efficient software
● Creating wireframes, high fidelity mockups, and prototypes
● Advocate for the user and effectively articulate and defend design decisions
● Document UI specifications for user interaction designs and solutions, according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely
● Proactively identify usability issues and work to create solutions before the software release
● Lead collaborative UI reviews with product stakeholders
Education & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/education experience
● Familiarity with low and high fidelity prototyping tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq, etc)
● Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
● 3+ year’s experience in user experience design for software applications
● Experience in creating successful user experience design strategy, which meets user needs, business requirements and company brand promise
● Experience in implementing and using design systems
Required Skills
● Excellent communication skills (visual, oral and written) and the ability to interact effectively with peers, internal/external customers, and prospective clients
● Ability to break down business, software, and usability requirements into functional user strategy
● Presentation skills, both creation of compelling visuals and in front of an audience
● Uncanny ability to hone in on the problem, uncover user issues, and concerns before moving to solutions
● Deep knowledge of best practices in contemporary user experience design
● Understanding of contemporary usability research methods
● Understanding of software product development lifecycle
● Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, and similar UI/UX design software
● Ability to break down business, software, and usability requirements into functional user strategy
Preferred
● Front-end development experience
● Mastery in creating complex applications, specifically web-based with working knowledge of HTML and CSS
● Mastery in formulating and maintaining design and usability guidelines
● Application experience specific to relevant business domain
● Experience with business object modeling tools and/or entity relationship modeling tools
● Knowledge of source code management and configuration management
● Knowledge of Infor Lawson applications
