Associate Software Developer - DevOps

Position:

Infor is seeking an Associate Software Developer with a focus on DevOps across different platforms. This role requires a dynamic, motivated self-starter professional who can thrive in a constantly evolving environment. As an Associate Software Developer - DevOps, you will be responsible for researching, defining, and implementing various development, testing, automation, CI/CD tools and associated infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • software development experience for commercial enterprise applications.
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Good understanding of Java, Python, and scripting languages like Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
  • Experience with one or more IDE’s (Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Rational RDi, etc.).
  • Experience with one or more Version Control Systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of IBM i, Windows, and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with SAST and DAST scanning and SBOM generation tools is a strong plus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to multi-task; self-teacher in acquiring technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain various development, testing, automation, CI/CD tools and associated infrastructure.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor the processes during the entire lifecycle for their adherence, and update or create new processes for improvement.
  • Research existing SBOM generation tooling for various platforms/languages; implement this tooling into the existing processes; develop SBOM generation tooling for specific platforms/languages as needed.
  • Manage conversions of one Version Control System to another (e.g. SVN to Git, proprietary system to Git, etc.)
