Description & Requirements

Infor is looking for a talented Senior Product Owner, to join our Infor SunSystems product team as we build momentum for our recently released Multi-Tenant cloud solution. SunSystems is a well-established financial management solution that attracts customers in multiple verticals around the globe. The solution is combined with real-time analytics and is tightly integrated into Infor’s Technology platform.

We are currently commencing a significant programme to rework the architecture of SunSystems for the future. As part of this work, we will be structuring our product development into tribes, each dedicated to a major area of the product. We are seeking strong product owners, who will own and drive one development tribe, giving the right candidate the opportunity to put their stamp on the product, build velocity and drive customer value in their area of the product. This is a great opportunity to get in at the beginning of this work and establish yourself as a key player as we build on SunSystems 40-year history and design the SunSystems of the future.
Our three tribes will focus on:
1. Business / Financial Logic (rebuilding core logic in a microservices API-driven platform)
2. Core product services (e.g. reporting, e-mailing, customisation)
3. Product Experience / UX (modernise front-end and user experience)

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

Key Responsibilities

·       As a Product Owner you will collaborate with Product Management, Development Managers, and other project stakeholders to determine scope and priorities.

·       Work with one or more Scrum teams, containing senior business analysts and developers to ensure clear requirements are established and met.

·       Articulate and Drive the vision and roadmap for a part of our product, maximising the value delivered to customers and guiding the BAs across the development tribe.

·       Establish expectations for feature developments, clarifying MVP scope and feature delivery phasing.

·       Continual engagement with customers and partners to understand the product in user and competitive contexts, representing and presenting these viewpoints to ensure that the work delivered by development teams meets and exceeds the expectations of customers.

·       Engaging with the customer and regulatory landscape to get ahead of future product requirements and shape these as part of the product roadmap.

·       Document high-level requirements for features and product enhancements.

·       Represent your part of the product in discussions with partners, customers, and internal senior leadership.

·       Open to take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary.

·       Ability to critically evaluate information from various sources and resolve conflicts.

Product Ownership (Scrum) Refinement

·       Drive project initiation including vision and kick-off.

·       Own the product backlog, and works with the BAs to ensure work is refined and ready for scrum teams to take on. Participation in scrum ceremonies, supporting the scrummaster and BA.

·       Making high level priority calls between competing areas of work (e.g. feature delivery, customer escalations, technical roadmap requirements)

·       Participation in the Product Working Group which co-ordinates work across scrums and tribes.

·       Participating in Sprint Reviews  & demos to represent the customer and roadmap requirements

·       Provide key updates for product reviews.

·       Present solutions and projects to various stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle

Release Management

·       Setting, driving and managing delivery timescales and release tracking (e.g. planned versions of issues and projects, managing sprint delays, feature delivery progress tracking)

·       Reviewing content for release notes.

·       Participating with business analysts on driving documentation, end-user documentation and training materials.

Interaction with Support

·       Representing you area of the product in discussions with Support, Customers and Partners, in particular communicating delivery timelines, managing escalations.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications

·      Solid experience acting in a product ownership role, ideally with a financial / ERP / Procurement product, working with development teams.

·      Highly experienced and confident in presenting product requirements, progress tracking and competitive analysis to senior internal and external audiences.

·      Proficient with common business analysis techniques and artefacts.

·      Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.

·      Ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously.

·      Analytical / detail-driven.

·      Excellent written and verbal skills.

·      Experience of Agile development processes and iterative development

·      Highly collaborative and proactive, results driven as a team player.


What Will Put You Ahead?

·    Strong demonstrable evidence in a key role developing a financial/ERP/procurement product.

·      Knowledge of Infor products

·       Experience working with API-driven development, Cloud products and microservices.

·       Experience in accounting and/or business applications.

·       Computer Science, Finance, or related degree

·       Demonstrated experience with data-driven decision-making.

·       Excited by change and charting an independent course.

·       Familiar and comfortable working with globally distributed teams in a large enterprise.
