Cross Industry Team lead is under Global Professional Service (GPS) organization and supports all the major delivery projects across the discrete manufacturing and process manufacturing industry customers. This role is a professional independent contribution role and reports to VP of GPS in Japan. 

The Cross Industry Team lead is responsible for proposing specific Infor solutions that fit within the customer’s business environment and business objectives and can be shown to address the customer’s business problems and exploit opportunities. This position is able to understand customer business drivers and the current IT environment. Ensuring solution feasibility and proposing a roadmap to realize the solution. The Cross Industry Team lead is deployed operationally across multiple solution domains utilizing their broad knowledge of the Infor solution portfolio to identify the components required to construct the most appropriate solution for the customer. The Cross Industry Team lead will be engaged full time as part of the project delivery structure and has experience in multiple industry segments such as Food and Beverage, Discrete Manufacturing, and/or Distribution.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Acts as an expert and evangelist in Infor Applications and Technology 
  • Maintains up-to-date product and technical knowledge of the Infor portfolio and roadmap for an industry and/or horizontal solution set 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing Industry sectors and is able to present solutions in an Industry context. 
  • Ability to decompose large complex problems into manageable pieces allowing communication on both business and technical levels. 
  • Skilled at presenting to C-level audiences focusing on demonstrating the business value of solutions rather than technical detail. 
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of Infor architecture engagement processes and tools. 
  • Knowledge of the essential standards for business processes, information models, and architectural models generally applied in industry. 
  • Maintains awareness of IT Industry architecture frameworks and approaches. 
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of business drivers & typical customer needs within an industry. 
  • Designs, develops, documents, and delivers solution architectures that meet client needs. 
  • Leads architectural discussions with clients around proposed solutions. 
  • Determines solution approach, identifies the critical path, and defines an appropriate solution roadmap. 
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers throughout the sales lifecycle. 
  • Ensures the solution is practical and provides continuity in the implementation project. 
  • Acts as the primary point of ownership with responsibility for functional solutions. 
  • Experience in the delivery of complex cross-pillar solutions utilizing Infor products. 
  • Challenges requirements to take advantage of the value-added provided by Infor solutions. 
  • Manages changes to the solution architecture due to change requests. 
  • Ensures that the different solution pieces built by different teams are consistent. 
  • Actively ensures that design/development standards are upheld. 

Knowledge and Skills, you must bring to the organization:

  • Deep industry expertise in Food and Beverage, Distribution and/or Discrete Manufacturing is strongly preferred. 
  • Proven experience in presenting to C-level audiences focusing on demonstrating the business value of solutions. 
  • Minimum 10+ years’ project experience with ERP multiple process areas. 
  • Implementation experience across all business process areas of Warehousing, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing and Planning, Customer Sales, Finance; or Service and Rental. 
  • Knowledge of the essential standards for business processes, information models, and architectural models generally applied in an industry. 
  • Experience in supporting and participating in Sales activities.
  • Willingness to travel local and overseas.
  • Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.
