Position Summary:  In this role you will get into the details by digging deep into the data and piecing together multiple sources while developing robust reporting solutions that help our internals, partners and customers manage their operations, enable business decisions, and influence strategic plans and investments.  You will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports and dashboards. You will be accountable for leading the architecture of operational and strategic reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements and translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources.
  • Lead strategic analytics projects and present clearly communicated findings that lead to impactful insights for key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other reporting teams to convert legacy reports (primarily Business Objects) to Cognos BI solutions.
  • Support ad-hoc querying and analysis to understand various user behaviors, investigate trends and diagnose data discrepancies.
  • Build data pipelines and reporting solutions and robust dashboards.
  • Ramp up quickly as an authority of stitching and calibrating data across various data sources that relate to Infor’s education and certification programs, offerings, delivery, pipeline, bookings, revenue, users, customers, and partners.
  • Partner with Enablement & Education stakeholders to understand, validate and architect instrumentation and data flow and analytics needs. Understand how instrumentation impacts data pipelines mentioned above.
  • Craft and build data sets for various use cases such as, but not limited to, investigative analyses and scalable reporting solutions and dashboards. Architect solid data models which will provide actionable insights.
  • Build data models that are easy to use by business stakeholders, partners, customers, and internals.
  • Express business definitions through SQL transformations and calculations & develop SQL code for optimized performance.
  • Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users.
  • Provide training and assistance to users for generation of adhoc reports and navigate the dashboards.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field is required
  • Experience with analysis and insight generation. Able to prioritize and establish analytics strategy to deliver impactful insights. Working knowledge of code repositories (preferably Git).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working with multiple business groups to meet their analytics needs
  • Strong understanding of data marts, data modeling, and related methodologies
  • Experience working with star schemas along with data validation & predictive or segmentation models is desirable.
  • Expert SQL programmer & Advanced SQL functions within a data warehousing environment.
  • Experience with data lake or MPP database technologies, developing data models for use in business intelligence tools. Experience with scripting languages such as Python/Anaconda, R, etc.
  • Experience with Linux, crontab, and bash &understanding of file formats like yaml, json, and xml.
  • Experience working with Apache Hadoop and related technology stack like Hive, Presto Redshift, Snowflake, Dremio, Vertica, Greenplum, or Netezza
  • Knowledge of Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistical modeling, advanced excel skills & techniques and data mining concepts is desirable.
  • Outstanding at telling stories with data and presenting it to customers, partners & stakeholders at all levels to influence critical decision making.
