Infor Decision Science & Analytics (iDeA) team at Infor is responsible for setting the strategy, enabling and delivering machine learning solutions for Infor customers across multiple segments and industries.

As the Manager, Science; focused on decision intelligence, you will ensure that our customers make the most of our rich and broad portfolio of machine learning offerings to enrich their business decisions and outcomes. A successful candidate will bring a passion for technology services, strong machine learning knowledge, solid business acumen and judgment, ability to define visionary, groundbreaking products, desire to have an industry wide impact and ability to work within a fast-moving environment in a large company to rapidly deliver services that have a broad business impact.

The ideal candidate will have a business, strategic and analytical background that enables them to deeply understand customer problems and challenges, drive a customer engagement from start to finish, and interact at both the executive level and with engineering leaders at our customers, as well as sufficient technical background to work with both our engineering teams and with customers in building solutions with our services. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus within Infor and within customer organizations.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will thrive and enjoy poring through big data, building reports to bubble up insights, researching and executing on state-of-the-art analytical approaches to solving business problems which continuing to focus on delivering value to the customers.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Lead discussions with customers to identify potential problems that can be solved using machine learning, optimization or other analytical approaches.
  • Capture, document and prioritize requirements from customers (internal and external) by collaborating with the solution architect.
  • Act as subject matter expert on all data science systems and technologies to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Translate high level business projects to completion by working with science and engineering teams.
  • Lead product definition by owning and driving business metrics, value proposition.
  • Define product vision including communicating roadmaps and plans internally and externally to customers, user groups, analysts and advisory councils.
  • Communicate technical concepts and challenges in machine learning space to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Define, measure, create business intelligence reports and communicate key metrics for team progress and value delivered.
  • Work with the scientist and engineers to support the transformation of prototypes and PoCs to products and diagnose science-related bugs. Support technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and deployment.
  • Participate in the development process including activities such as sprint reviews, science testing, user acceptance testing, etc.
  • Provide project management support to the team when delivering customer Proofs of Concept or for paid engagements, as needed.
  • Support the product launch process, GTM plan and ensuring customer and business goals are met in launch plans.
  • Execute proof of concepts to support product and sales teams as needed.
  • Take ownership of risk mitigation and solve for issues as they arise.

  • Support the creation of analytics/science specific content such as algorithm descriptions and configurations.
  • Provide consulting services to Infor customers for the science solution as needed.
  • Build partnerships with other Infor product teams, implementation partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Build the brand: Wear the hat of a storyteller by publishing product stories, case studies and customer references.
  • Build the network: Own relationship building with customers, product teams, ICS and partner enablement.
  • Drive growth: Groom opportunities to assess value and identify avenues to grow the revenue of the group.
  • Deliver Value: Crafting value case/proposition for any new endeavor to make data driven and metric based decisions.
  • Build Products: Roll up sleeves, and create repeatable solutions, models and frameworks for business problems of customers.
  • Enable ML: Envision and drive analytics into the Infor DNA.
  • Uncover insights: Formulate evaluation criteria, metrics, and reports to present to user groups, executives and widespread dissemination internally and externally
