We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Cloud System Engineer to support software deployments, infrastructure troubleshooting, and system automation initiatives. This role will be responsible for maintaining a stable application environment through regular updates and hotfix deployments, as well as participating in a rotating on-call schedule for rapid issue resolution. Ideal candidates are motivated to develop skills in AWS, automation, and DevOps practices, with a strong interest in driving operational efficiency. This is a great opportunity to work on a tight-knit team that moves fast and learns new skills on a daily basis.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
- Deploying software on a monthly cadence for development groups
- Troubleshooting issues within the Commercial and Infor Government Solutions (IGS) environment to pull logs and remediate issues
- Regularly applying patches to resolve environmental instability and security vulnerabilities
- Driving efforts to monitor and automate application infrastructure and deployment tools
- Maintaining documentation and queues for ticketing
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous programming experience with Python
- Previous experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science
- Previous experience with AWS
- Programming experience with Golang
- Previous experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Previous experience with monitoring systems such as Datadog or Sumo Logic
For California, Colorado, Maryland, New York and Washington applicants, we anticipate paying between $89,000 - $134,000 per year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
