This role combines a strong technical understanding of data mesh with the strategic insight necessary to solve complex business challenges. You will engage with prospective clients, identify their unique needs, and design solutions that leverage data mesh principles. The ideal candidate is both a technical expert and an effective communicator who can bridge the gap between technical requirements and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise and Consultation:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on data mesh adoption strategies, best practices, and the value of decentralized data ownership.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with current offerings and inform future product developments based on client feedback.
  • Lead technical proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot implementations to demonstrate solution value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between client needs and product offerings.
  • Support post-sales activities, providing guidance and troubleshooting to ensure successful data mesh deployments.

Market and Industry Knowledge:

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging data architectures.
  • Communicate market insights and feedback to internal teams, contributing to ongoing product improvement.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical consulting, solutions engineering, or sales engineering role with a focus on data management, data architecture, or data engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience with data mesh principles and architectures, including data ownership, domain-oriented data distribution, and self-serve data infrastructure.

Technical Skills:

  • Data Migration: Strong experience with data migration projects, including planning and executing migrations from legacy systems to modern data platforms, minimizing data downtime and ensuring data integrity.
  • Master Data Management (MDM): In-depth knowledge of master data management strategies, best practices, and tools. Proven ability to design solutions for centralized or decentralized MDM in line with data governance policies.
  • Data Lakes and Data Warehousing: Extensive experience with data lake and data warehouse architectures and frameworks, including tools like Apache Hadoop, AWS S3, and Snowflake. Ability to advise clients on best practices for building and maintaining scalable data lakes as part of a data mesh.
  • Data Governance: Comprehensive understanding of data governance principles, policies, and frameworks. Experience with implementing data governance practices, including data quality, data cataloging, and metadata management, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Data Mesh and Data Management: Deep knowledge of data management and data mesh frameworks, encompassing data ownership models, domain-oriented data distribution, and self-serve data infrastructure.
  • Cloud Platforms and Data Ecosystems: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience working with tools such as Apache Kafka, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Data Modeling and Pipeline Tools: Proficiency with data modeling techniques, ETL/ELT pipeline tools, and technologies that facilitate seamless data integration and transformation.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset, capable of understanding and addressing complex client needs.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data architecture, and/or MDM.
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in data mesh, data governance, and data migration are a strong plus.

Why Join Us:
