Job Overview

Infor is hiring a Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and highly available web applications hosted on the AWS cloud platform.

The Senior Software Engineer will take a senior role in designing, developing, and optimizing complex software solutions using .NET technologies. The engineer will leverage deep expertise in .NET to architect robust applications, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices within the development team. This position requires a blend of technical leadership, strategic vision, and hands-on development skills to deliver high-impact solutions that align with the company’s objectives and technology standards.

Job Duties

  • Lead the design and architecture of scalable and high-performance software solutions. Define and enforce architectural standards and best practices within the team.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and peers. Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and drive continuous improvement in development practices.
  • Develop, test, and maintain complex software applications using .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers and business analysts, to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance software performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing system performance and reliability.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including design documents, deployment procedures, and user guides.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions and achieve project goals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies, and tools, ensuring effective and efficient software delivery.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of extensive experience in software development using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core), with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and best practices. Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server), version control systems (e.g., Git), and modern development tools and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams, mentoring junior developers, and influencing technical decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, taking ownership of tasks and contributing to group success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular frameworks).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Exposure to RESTful web services
