As a Software Development Manager, you will lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality RPA solutions. You will play a critical role in driving team performance, improving development processes, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our RPA product while advancing your leadership career.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
  • Oversee project planning, prioritization, and delivery timelines, ensuring alignment with business goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-quality software on schedule.
  • Provide guidance on architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical strategies to ensure best practices, scalability, and maintainability in software development.
  • Identify and implement improvements to development processes, workflows, and tools to enhance team productivity and product quality. Promote agile methodologies and ensure effective sprint planning and execution.
  • Manage team resources effectively, balancing workloads, and addressing gaps in skills or staffing as necessary to meet project and organizational goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and other departments, communicating progress, risks, and technical challenges to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent while identifying opportunities for team members’ professional growth through training, mentorship, and career development plans.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

·     Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

·     10-12 years of professional experience in software development, with 3+ years in a management or leadership role.

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical background with experience in software development, architecture, and modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
  • Proficiency in project planning, prioritization, and resource management, with experience in agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and team efficiency.
  • Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent, as well as providing mentorship and career development opportunities for team members.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Establish and enforce secure development practices, conduct regular security assessments, and oversee the implementation of measures such as encryption, authentication, and vulnerability scanning to protect applications from threats.
  • Ensure applications and development processes adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2). Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address audit requirements.
  • Oversee the release management process, ensuring smooth deployment of new features, updates, and bug fixes. Establish a robust patching strategy to address vulnerabilities and maintain application stability and security in production environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with RPA tools or frameworks (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) is a plus.
  • Experience with Generative AI technologies, including working with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face, and integrating AI/ML models into software applications.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms and tooling to monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system reliability.
