Position Title: Multilingual Technical Writer/Trainer
Position Reports To: Manager, Training
Location: Taiwan/Shenzhen(Dalian), China
Job Purposes:
Infor seeks a Multilingual Technical Writer/Trainer with strong English and Japanese skills (Chinese/Mandarin a plus) for the Infor Nexus Learning and Development team. This role will create and maintain multilingual documentation, focusing on Japanese content, and deliver training to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate combines expertise in technical writing, a passion for education, and the ability to communicate complex concepts across languages.
Job Responsibilities:
· Create and maintain documentation in English and Japanese, with potential for Chinese content development.
· Lead training sessions for Japanese customers, both in-person and virtually.
· Proofread Japanese UI and serve as a Japanese language interpreter when needed.
· Develop new materials based on product functionality and review existing documents to identify gaps.
· Plan project scopes with timelines, work estimates, and monitoring procedures.
· Adapt documentation plans to accommodate scope changes and meet strict deadlines.
· Manage all documents in the in-house knowledge base repository.
· Edit content from various contributors to ensure consistency in voice and content.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accuracy and consistency of technical information across languages.
Experience, Skills, and Job Competencies:
- Fluent in English and Japanese; Chinese/Mandarin a plus
- Bachelor's in Technical Communication or related field
- Proven experience in technical writing and multilingual training
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across languages.
- Experience in managing documentation projects from inception to delivery.
- Strong cultural awareness and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Knowledge of e-learning tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate or Camtasia) and Component Content Management Systems (CCMS)/DITA preferred.
- Experience in financial or supply chain application environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with web-based applications preferred.
