Description & Requirements

The intern will work on implementing CIP rules within our Production Scheduling Solution using Java and OR-Tools. This enhancement will enable the scheduling engine to seamlessly accommodate cleaning protocols, making it more robust for industries where CIP is essential.


Essential Duties

  • Analyze requirements and document CIP specifications such as cleaning duration, equipment constraints, and cleaning frequency.
  • Develop and integrate CIP rules into the Production Scheduling Solution using Java and OR-Tools, ensuring minimal disruption to production cycles.
  • Optimize the scheduling engine to maintain efficient production while meeting CIP requirements.
  • Test and validate CIP-enabled schedules to demonstrate improvements over traditional scheduling approaches.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java programming.
  • Familiarity with OR-Tools or other optimization libraries.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of scheduling algorithms and optimization methods.
  • Experience with constraint programming concepts.
  • Understanding of production scheduling or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to analyze and document operational constraints in a manufacturing setting.
