Description & Requirements

This role is a key enabler to Infor’s exciting growth and change plans – engaging the team and inspiring change to build confidence and competence aligned to Infor’s transformation.  The talent manager role as a key contributors to the people workstream of our regional transformation programme (Flourish), as well as leading a team of industry focused consultants.

The Consulting Talent Manager reports into the Practice Director and manages a team of consultants and solution architects.  Ultimate goals relate to Customer Satisfaction, Utilization and Profitability delivered through talent management but within the context of proactive change management.

The role supports the implementation & delivery of associated business plans & metrics, in partnership with practice leads.

Manages the recruitment, development and retention activity for a diverse and effective workforce. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensures customer success through understanding upcoming demand and future needs (workforce planning).  Ensuring consultants are equipped with the right skills, including soft skills, partnering with enablement, skills transformation and industry and strategy solution leads; and completing competency health-checks.
  • Works with delivery teams to ensure a clear needs assessment for technical, functional, industrial and management skills for each role is understood, having a gap analysis (per role and collectively across the practice) and a well communicated plan to deliver against it.
  • Recruitment, development and retention of high performing consultants and solution architects.
  • Implements tactical and strategic change.
  • Responsible for effectiveness of people processes: Understands Principle Based Management (PBM) culture, ensures people initiatives are completed and monitored (Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations, 360 reviews, compensation reviews, talent reviews, development plans, succession plans etc.).
  • Develop operational plans to achieve people related professional services business goals
  • Proactively track, monitor and performance manage utilization rates of consultants, reviewing scheduling versus actual to understand any variations, aligning assignments wherever possible with consultants’ personal development plans.
  • Managing performance and driving increased billable utilization and quality.

 

Knowledge and skills you bring to the organisation

  • Learning and development expertise with demonstrable success in talent management in a professional services environment
  • Excellent change management skills and experience
  • Line management experience of 10 or more employees
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly-changing environment
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external business relationships with various levels of management
  • Experience working with, and or coordinating the efforts of multiple parties
  • Experience in software industry or related industry including management experience
  • Knowledge of applicable industry terminology and practices
  • Ability to manage utilization forecast  and reflect a true position
  • Ability to travel regionally, nationally and internationally as required
