Beschrijving & Vereisten

The candidate will work on stabilizing and enhancing the AI Optimizer within the Production Scheduling module. Responsibilities include adding CIP rules, improving the network optimization, adding more relaxation capabilities, and exploring innovative models using the CP-SAT library from Google OR-Tools.

Essential Duties:
- Stabilizing and optimizing the AI Optimizer.
- Integrating CIP rules and network solver within the AI Optimizer.
- Automatically relax the solver when feasible solutions cannot be found.
- Exploring and implementing innovative optimization models using the CP-SAT library from Google OR-Tools.
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration of optimization solutions.
- Conducting rigorous testing and validation of optimization models.
- Setting a strong example in work ethic and quality standards for team members.

Basic Qualifications:

- B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Multi-disciplinary Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Programming experience and proficiency in Java.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English across different levels of management.

Preferred Qualifications:

- M.S. or postgraduate work in Operations Research, Optimization, Data Science, or Supply Chain is a plus.
- One to four years of experience in the fields of data science, optimization, and supply chain is a plus.
- Familiarity with optimization solvers, particularly the CP-SAT library from Google OR-Tools, is a plus.
