We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development and Operations Engineer that will join our Business Solutions Delivery team. You’ll help provide operational support to our Business Solutions Delivery team that manages our enterprise applications while maintaining the backend services. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring and maintaining the backend infrastructure that supports all critical applications. You’ll work closely with the Support team to help identify and resolve all identified issues.

What You Will Need?
Basic Qualification:
0-3 years of DevOps experience
Understanding of Windows Server operating system and SQL database.
Understands IT, Development, and DevOps concepts and can utilize fundamental tools and documentation to complete basic DevOps tasks.
Experience with Jira (Change Controls, Wiki, etc.).

What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH).
Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, Lambda.
Experience supporting ServiceNow and Salesforce.
Scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell experience.
Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts and practices.
Experience with networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud-based architectures. 
Experience communicating and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment.

A Day In A Life Typically Includes:
Support Infrastructure and Operations
o Monthly: Perform Operating System (OS) updates on all production systems.
o Semiannual: Perform Pre-Production Database refresh. 

Performance Monitoring and Health Checks
o Leverage monitoring system (SolarWinds) to identify and resolve server issues.
o PagerDuty alerts are attended to or resolved in a timely manner to avoid escalation.

Incident Management
o Infor JIRA Change Controls and internal ticketing system incidents are responded to and updated in a timely manner to immediately resolve the issue. 
o Issues escalated by Support and Business Solutions Development teams are attended with a sense of urgency.
o Service outage is resolved within the SLA.

Process Automation and Scripting
o Manual processes are reviewed and evaluated for potential automation.
o Automation scripts/SCORCH jobs are regularly reviewed and updated for product version compatibility.
o Collaborate with Infra, Dev and Ops team members to seek ways and opportunities for automation.

Personal Development, Documentation, and Infrastructure Management
o Continuous knowledge improvement on related technologies by completing online courses in Tigerhall and other sources.
o Understands and embraces the Koch Principle Based Management (PBM) philosophy
o Technical skills are practiced by sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues on their issues.
o Wiki pages are being updated and new processes are documented.
